Oral thrush is seen as a small white patches around the mouth and tongue that is like a hardened milk. Oral thrash is cause by a fungus. This is common on a newly born child and prone to people who uses antibiotics for a long time.
Signs:
1. Loss of appetite due to burning sensation and pain.
2. White patches under the mouth that is inflamed.
Prevention:
1. Advice mother that after breastfeeding or bottle feeding, regularly clean the mouth with water.
2. Used only antibiotics drugs if only needed.
Medication:
Oral candidiasis or thrush is medicated with anti-fungal like nystatin and miconazole. Topical therapy is given as an oral suspension which is washed around the mouth and then swallowed by the patient.
